Trinity is a unique primary school which opened in 2010 to serve the needs of Buckshaw Village. As with everything on Buckshaw Village they have grown rapidly and from September 2017, are able to serve 540 children and their families and with growth to fully 3FE this number will rise to 630. From September 2017 we will be ONE school on TWO sites offering THREE forms of entry. Their Reception, Year One and Year Two children will be at our Brookwood Way site with Years 3,4,5 and 6 being accommodated in our original building on Unity Place.
The challenge was to provide the Lancashire County Council with a full LED lighting scheme compliant to CIBSE LG05: Lighting for education, a full emergency scheme with relevant design and documentation and a design for all exterior lighting. The Trinity foundation and key stage one site was a new build project carried out by John Turner Construction Group, who Allied worked closely with on the install of the lighting project.
Upon being specified by LCC, Allied began work on procuring the most suitable fittings from trusted manufacturers in the UK and Europe. A full lighting design was carried out to comply to all regulations and an L2 compliance energy and control document was produced to ensure the selected luminaires produced optimum actual building power density (w/m2/100lux) for the client. A full emergency scheme was produced with again carefully selected luminaires and all relevant documentation. Finally all exterior lighting was specified and supplied by Allied including bollards, wall lights and street lighting with columns.
